Double Glazing – Lower Colo

IMG_0664_smlWith a view like this overlooking the Colo River in the Hawkesbury NSW, the client’s requirements where very clear. They wanted as much glass as possible and it had to be energy efficient.

For the first criteria we had to eliminate the need for a beam over the window as it was 7 metres long, so the window frame had to be load bearing. This was made from F27 kiln dried Black Butt.

The IGU’s or (insulated glass units) would provide the energy efficacy needed for this area of NSW with extreme temperatures from   -3c in the winter, up to  47c in the summer.

The frame was pre made in the work shop, shipped to site in pieces and assembled onsite then installed. With the IGU’s pre ordered, and onsite, the job was completed on the same day, with the external trims going on the next day.

With the Job now completed, the client can now sit down to dinner overlooking the beautiful Colo River.
